Basic stage dance training Dance training parallel to KV training SAZ

Parallel to the KV training with a federally recognized KV degree EFZ at the Sport Academy Zurich (SAZ), there is the possibility to complete a four-year dance training within the basic training stage dance. This course is aimed at talented and ambitious young dance enthusiasts who have the prerequisites to prepare for a professional dance career and who would also like to obtain a highly recognized commercial diploma.

The purpose of the joint training is to offer young dance talents specific support and intensive training opportunities. To enable the students to dedicate themselves professionally to dance, the commercial training is extended by one year. This gives the students the time they need to train five times a week throughout their vocational training. The close proximity of the Tanzwerk101, SAZ and KVZ training centers supports this ideal combination.

Students are provided with the resources and skills they will later need as a basis for further specialization, HF Stage Dance, Bachelor or similar, or for starting a professional dance career. As one of the oldest and largest institutions of its kind in Switzerland, we work with the experience of well over 1000 successful graduates. The graduates of the certificate course for contemporary stage dance of the Basic Training for Stage Dance, formerly Zurich Dance Theater School, can be found all over the world in a wide variety of positions in the performing arts. A qualified and competent team of teachers with many years of stage and teaching experience teaches at the basic stage dance training program.
