Contemporary Floorwork

Contemporary dance or contemporary dance? It is difficult to say whether these are two different dance styles. Contemporary dance was influenced more by North American dance techniques and contemporary dance originated in Europe. Nowadays, however, it is difficult to separate the two.

Both contemporary dance and contemporary dance are based on the fusion of elements from modern, jazz and ballet as well as contract release, fall and recovery, floorwork and improvisation techniques. Depending on the teacher, the lesson can either be very physically demanding or focus more on the interpretation of the music and the expression of emotions. It's best to try out a few different teachers to find out what you personally like best.
